SikaWall®-165 Water Resistant Putty

High performance, cementitious finish skimcoat for internal and external wall

SikaWall®-165 Water Resistant Putty is a one component cementitious fine finishing coat for skimming on wall and ceilings. It's smooth finishing and good adhesion is suitable for internal and external application.

Usage

  • Suitable for application on concrete surfaces, lightweight concrete slabs, precast panels, soffits, brickwalls, lightweight aerated blocks and rendered surfaces

Storage conditions

Store properly in original, unopened and undamaged sealed packaging in dry conditions at temperatures between +5 °C and +30 °C. Protect from direct sunlight, rain and water.

Application steps

SUBSTRATE QUALITY

The substrate must be sound, clean, dry and free of all contaminants e.g. dirt, oils, grease, coatings, surface treatments, etc. If in doubt, apply a test area first. Dry concrete, render or SikaWall® surfaces must be prewetted before application.

MIXING

SikaWall®-165 Water Resistant Putty must be mixed with clean water at the site using a power drill whisk. Pour the required water into a suitable container then add SikaWall®-165 Water Resistant Putty while stirring continuously until a smooth consistency is achieved. Allow mixture to stand for a few minutes. Mix again and the plaster is ready for use.

 

APPLICATION

SikaWall®-165 Water Resistant Putty is applied either by hand with a steel trowel or spatula. The coat is then levelled off to a smooth surface with a steel trowel. Ensure that the applied coat has hardened before application of subsequent coats.

CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT

Clean all tools and application equipment with water immediately after use. Hardened or cured material can only be removed mechanically.
