Waterproofing and Plasticizing Admixture for Concrete
SikaCem®-501 Crystalline TZ is a concrete admixture that combines the advantages of plasticizers and integral waterproofing agents.
Waterproofing properties:
The waterproofing effect of SikaCem®-501 Crystalline TZ results from additional crystallization in the cement matrix and a hydrophobic action on pores and capillaries.
Plasticizing properties:
The plasticizing effect of SikaCem®-501 Crystalline TZ reduces mixing water by 10% to 15%. This leads to many advantages:
- Increased mechanical strength
- Improved workability and thixotropy
- Improved compactness resulting in better impermeability
- Better frost resistance.
